1) Jude did not win the cutest baby contest, Armari did. Sorry Jude, if it makes you feel better your mama has never won much of anything. except a pretty special husband. and family. and wonderful friends. okay, enough.
2) I'm back-to-work. To all you working parents out there, my situation hardly qualifies as "back-to-work," but I have, as of today, started to work with one adoptive family. It stemmed from an email my director wrote last week with "HELP!!!!" in the subject line. I really should save that email as she seems to have a short memory. With Mark away from home 14 of the next 15 days, this could get interesting.
3) Mark is actively sitting around in Chicago. Also known as being on reserve. ugh. Our tenture as a cog in the Mesa wheel continues....
4) I am officially behind in blogging 5 trips, soon to be 6 as we go to Timmy's Graduation at Notre Dame this weekend. Jude and I had a great time with the Rosolowskis in Tennessee this past week.
5) Life isn't nearly as bleak as I've sounded in this email. Jude has progressed from "babababa" to "mamama" in addition to indescribable sounds that he makes up and laughs at. You can't lose this child in a supermarket. He's LOUD. He's also into "dancing," which comes in the form of an upper-body shake-down. What a kiddo.

Oh, I am so like you Debby!! I check every day, sometimes several times! Can't wait to see you all. Maybe in June I'll have a chance to fly down there.
Please please please call if you need any help or need a sitter for a few hours a day to work.
I love your blog...and as your other fans have mentioned..I too check your blog often...compulsively! Thank you for being an angel in our lives and for being such a wonderful friend to share motherhood with! We love you!
