All good things must come to an end. And all bad things too. We're officially done with Mesa Airlines, or, more accurately, they are done with us. I'm happy to have my husband home. In 9 years (wooza) we've never spent more than 2 consecutive weeks together. and that was for the birth of Jude. So here we are. Mark has become an incredibly adept fly-swatter thus far, summoning me into the room each time before he wallops a fly with a dish towel. Jude learned three words yesterday alone "up, "apple," and "light" after only learning three words in his entire first 14 months: "mama" "over there" "water." He also learned to go feet first down stairs, sign "please", and perform a high-pitched scream that may or may not cause permanent hearing damage. Jude likes having his daddy home too.
For the past three and a half years I've tried to use our flight benefits well. I never wanted the end of them to come and feel that I didn't take full advantage of them. That was my goal. Oh, and making sure that the value of flights I flew every month was worth more than Mark's actual paycheck. That always made me feel better about things. In the end I am happy about how things went on both accounts.
Being home is good too. Now if I could only get Mark to slow down on those applications....
