Ode to Fall

Fall is my favorite.  There is little I don't love about it.  Except, I suppose, that winter follows it.  Though Colorado falls do not have the breadth or depth of Lake Placid's colors (think yellow), nor the cool, rushing waters of the Adirondacks or Washington, Colorado falls do have a sticktoitness (sound it out) that's unstoppable.  Here fall doesn't fold when November rolls into town.  Or October 2nd as the case may be in Lake Placid.  No, here autumn recognizes it's right to have three whole months to itself.  And I love every day of these three months.

Jude climbed these stairs.  Every. single. one.
