West Coasting

This post has been hanging around unpublished for awhile due to technical difficulties.  I think it's set now.  Throwing it up in case anyone is checking for baby news. Ah, baby news. There is none.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a sucker for the West Coast. The landscape, the people, the openness of both. We visited Washington first, attempting to fly into what was dubbed the "storm-of-the-century" on a certain weather report. On our way, we were briefly stranded in the Portland airport. We blew that popsicle stand, rented a car and headed north. After great visits with friends (which I failed horribly at documenting with pictures) we headed out to the Olympic Peninsula to spend time with Mark's family. Jude, as is his new travel-mantra, spent much of the trip asking/demanding/pleading to go home to Denver. We've calculated that he's done somewhere around 100 flights in his lifetime. And with that we've successfully burnt him out of traveling. whoops.

My first boys: Tate and Keenan!  Nannied these  cuties for 2 years.  They'll be 7 years old this spring.  Whaa?!
Jude demonstrating his "Thomas bed" for Great-grandpa Pete and Grandma Wilma.  Something clicked because he actually stayed in it that night.
There was a big storm in Forks.  We figured it'd be even cooler a the beach.  It was.
As with many things in life, Jude was not impressed with our storm-chasing prowess.

A few days after arriving back to Denver, Jude and I flew out to Los Angeles to meet Mark and drive the Ford back.  Our Las Vegas overnight made it official that that city has no intention of not seeing me in my 35th week of pregnancy.  Last pregnancy: (http://www.on2wingsandaprayer.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html).

Jude dubbed the double-decker we flew to LA the "Biggest plane ever!" Sounds about right to me.
Great Uncle Tim (Mark's uncle) showed us around his Las Vegas firehouse. Jude climbed on and off multiple trucks, pushing any and all buttons.  While I watched and fretted, Tim was exceptionally calm and kind.  Jude, of course, loved it.  During this stop he was happy to be on the road....

So, I think Jude is looking ever more like Mark! Especially that picture with "Great" Uncle Tim. Wowzers. Yes...it had been too long with no notes or pictures! Thanks for updating.
Love you guys... Can't wait to hear the news.
