Jude turned 4 months on Sunday and I have a new favorite sound in the all the world: his laugh. It's really more of a low grunt, but I know it's a giggle and I've never heard anything that makes me happier.
Other highlights of this big, bad 4 month old:
- Battle of the Bottle: Jude:1, Parents:0. After months of coaxing, coercion, and hour long stand-offs, Jude was declared victorious in his resistance against the evil bottle. Parents conceded defeat and are planning a new strategical move: bypassing the bottle for the sippy cup.
- Sleeping: Also along the eating lines, Jude continues to eat a minimum of twice a night. which leads us to the next update...
- Growth: His official numbers come it at 17lbs. 5oz. for weight (90th percentile), 26 3/4 inches for length (95th percentile) and his head is big too (75th percentile) though I don't remember the measurement. So there you have it. It wasn't my imagination, this kid is loooong. At this rate we'll be the same height next Christmas. and the same weight by...
- Movement: He's almost making headway in inching towards toys that are laid out in front of him during tummy time. He prefers, however, to just pull the blanket which in turns pulls the toys towards him. He is his father's son.
- Social: Makes his parents feel like the luckiest people in the world everyday.

Finally we know a baby that is bigger than Reed. I know I know, Jude is 2 months older, but most babies that are older than Reed are smaller than him and by several pounds I might add! He went today and at 2 months is 16 pounds, 3 ounces and 25 1/2 inches. How are we going to keep up with feeding them when they are teenagers?
oh my goodness. ha! Reed is too cute. It'll be so fun when they eventually get to play together. Our two not-so-little brutes. gotta love it.
Oh wow! Jude is the cutest!
I had the youngest student in my "Writing in the Workplace" class last night. He was almost exactly Jude's age and looked a little like him too. He laughed and laughed but I didn't think I was that funny.
Made me really want to see Jude. Thanks for the new pics. Keep them!
Jude is quite the rockstar! His little buddy Nico is still trying to put the lbs on but Jude is a great influence! Happy 4 month Birthday Jude!
