I Can't Stand it Anymore

I jumped on to the computer to look up a recipe in order to get my meal plan together for the week before Jude wakes up from his nap so I can run to the store and get back in time to make dinner, clean it up, get Jude to bed and get the house in order for the week to come.  That run-on sentence just felt quite cathartic.  Anyway, I can stand all of that.  What I can't stand is that I haven't updated the blog in forever!  We had far too great of a Christmas vacation to let it go undocumented, so let's see if I can't throw up something about it right now.  Shopping list, hold your horses while I fish some pictures off our camera.

Grandma Glynda (Mark's mom) joined us in Lake Placid!  Jude (and mommy) were horribly spoiled by the 7:1 adult to child ratio. and we loved it.

Riding the gondola to the top of Whiteface Mountain

Made it to the top- didn't stay long

Riding back down

In the lodge- this is more like it

Top of Ski jumps.  I thought it funny that they wouldn't let us ride the elevator ourselves, but the icy platform at the top was wide open for our walking and viewing pleasure

Grandma Claire had an amazingly grandmother-like idea to arrange a dog-sled ride for Jude.  Debby and I climbed on too shortly after this picture was taken.  Pretty sure Jude froze his eyeballs as he didn't blink the entire time; he stayed in a trance chanting "Puppies"

Jude almost made it skiing.  The rest of us did.

We spent two beautiful days at my parent's cabin on Fern Lake.
"Skating" on the lake.

Honestly,  I still feel nervous when I look at this picture.
Cold yet?

It certainly was a Christmas to remember.  And now it will be!

Those pictures are great! The ice would make me nervous, too. Glad you had a great Christmas :)

We miss you three!

Thanks for posting the pics. We loved every minute of your visit.

You should see the snow now. We are totally buried.
