My friend Sarah's daughter has been in the fight of her young life this week. A mere 3 weeks ago life was normal, great, and we were looking forward to a playdate. Today she remains in the Children's Hospital ICU with complications following brain surgery for a recently-discovered tumor. It all happened so quickly, and her prognosis is simply unknown at this point. She is the same age as Jude and has a twin brother, Evan, who is her best bud. I can't imagine, don't want to imagine, seeing your child in such a state and having so few answers. My heart is heavy for them.

Amanda, I just clicked over to some of those links for Natalie. I am fighting back the tears and my heart and PRAYERS go out to that sweet little girl and her family. Praying for the quickest, most complication-free recovery possible; strength and faith for her mom and dad; painlessness for Natalie; space and permission to feel all the feelings they need to feel through this unbelievably difficult time. I can only imagine, and just that is terrifying.
