I'm watching an another 21 month old right now and, ironically, finding myself with my first quiet moment in awhile. You see, Luke is napping and this other boy is an exceeding calm and quiet little fellow. He's also being entertained by Jude who is happy to play "big brother" to him in ways he no longer does with Luke. Good to know Jude still has it in him I suppose. The calm of these moments is reinforcing how Luke does in fact "bring the party" and since I got on to post the following video, it's pretty fitting timing.
My brother Jon was married to the lovely, kind, generous Stacey on Dec 21st in a gorgeous wedding. Jude, along with Stacey's nephew, was a ring bearer, and Luke, along with Stacey's niece, a Flower Boy. And now when we barely make it out of the supermarket I can remind myself that once-upon-a-time both of them made it down the aisle. It was a good day. While I would recommend the whole video, the boys make their debut at 3:02 and 9:04. What you can't see about Luke's entrance to the reception is that he started working the room way in the back before arriving on the dance floor. You also can't see the 100+ people cheering him on or how, when he doesn't want to give up his audience, Stacey and Jon insist he stay- through their entire first dance. Did I mention that she's pretty awesome? Here they (all) are:

Danielle has a phone video and he's saying "this fun" as he's walking down the aisle.
I was wondering what he was saying! Yes, it was fun...so wonderful...the entire evening. I'm one happy mama and grandmother.
