I can hear the "It's about time!" chorus ringing now. It was indeed time but, ain't gonna lie, I still cried. Jude's hair had become it's own character in our household. On the East and West Coast it was decently cute, something like this:
But one should probably base their hairstyle on where they actually live. And here's what it sometimes looked like in CO*:
And now for the cut:
*Full disclosure: Jude was, in this picture, playing hide and seek with the table runner. And his hair probably hadn't been washed in an unmentionable amount of days either. It did have moments of looking more like this in Denver:

Oh dear, the first hair cut is such a rite of passage! I would have cried too!! He has such beautiful hair. But, he does look quite handsome still!
I remember Mark's first haircut. It was so traumatic for all of us. Mark was NOT happy and the barber cut his finger on his own sissors! Even drew blood. I think he needed a few props like Jude had. Would have been easier on all of us.
Great post. I knew you were having a hard time with the idea of the first haircut but as Glynda said, it's a rite of passage...
He's cutie for sure.
And that place sure beats him sitting on your lap at a barber shop!
