This week's been just as crazy as last week. I've been reminded that I like working, I really do. Which is both a good: a sense of accomplishment, paycheck, growing and learning, paycheck, being challenged, paycheck, etc. and bad: I tend to take things to extremes. For those I haven't filed in, I'm still doing my adoption work, but have added a job with the Census through June. This has meant 14+ hr days throughout the week in order to get my project off the ground. Which would be find if I wasn't simultaneously making another human being...
I've had experienced some "tightening" episodes, which I believe to be Braxton Hicks, over the past couple days. Everything I've read says that this,at 21 weeks, would be on the early side, but it can be normal if they aren't accompanied by a variety of other symptoms. They aren't accompanied by anything . So today Mark took over (I'm not one to take orders so this is new), put me on weekend-bedrest, which isn't as fun as it sounds, and sobered me up with the idea that this, bedrest, could become my life if I don't simmer down. Baring any changes I'll be calling my midwives sometime next week. On the weekends you either need to call the "Emergency" midwife line or the nurses line. I've permanently checked calling those particular nurses off of my list forever.
Anyway, just wanted to let the three of you know, (hi Brooke, Jackie and Jonelle!) that I'm chilling out a bit more now and happily settling down to read your blogs this evening....

Seriously Amanda! How many friends do you have to have nearly die delivering 9 weeks early to make you slow down?!!! I'm glad Mark has taken over the situation (you being the "situation")---you take care of yourself and that baby!
(Despite my overuse of the exclamation point in this comment, I'm not yelling, but really slow down, mama!)
Hey little mama! Please, Please take it easy. Rest is so important for the two of you! It's great to be active...but rest, rest rest! So great to read about what you have been up to. I miss you! Please listen to Brooke...your body will continue to tell you what it needs. I can't believe you are already 21 weeks! So exciting!
Love to you my friend
Wow, you're a little too busy...sounds like my days (14-15 hours) BUT I'm not pregnant!! You should definitely take it easy :)
thanks for the encouragement, and the gentle smack-downs too :) I know I need it. going to bed at 8:30 tonight.
Glad you're listening to the advice and to your body... And to the nudgings of the Spirit to not be at certain intersections at unfortunate times! Love you...
