Today we (all of us, I suppose) are 37 weeks, full term! Word is that baby's completely developed, just packing on the pounds. I knew this concept, but when I read it recently I thought that that's maybe something all these medical people should keep to themselves. Sure, it's great to know that if Baby Cake was to be born now there'd be little risk about premature complications, but to think that the babe is merely beefing up from here on out is not the most comforting concept: "Go for it kid, put on another 4 pounds, mama can handle it!" ha.
Our full-term life started out quite strangely this morning. I woke at 5:06am wanting something, it was orange juice at that moment, and decided it was worth a trip to the supermarket. I don't believe I've been the supermarket at this time possibly ever. maybe in those very ancient, and quite rare, times where a trip to the store at 5am was the end to a day, not the beginning of one. I arrived in a daze to a store of sky-high boxes, busy and loud workers and strange announcements over the PA. I took me a couple to compute that I had arrived during the night-shift. It was a different grocery world I tell ya. Having found my orange juice, other things stared to look fantastic as well: donuts, croissants, pizza. Limiting myself to a couple select items (and somehow having the wherewithal to use a coupon) I managed to navigate myself through self-checkout, home and back into bed by 6am. If I'm up tomorrow at the same time, maybe I'll hit up a store or two and actually knock some things off my real list. Company welcome.

Yeah! This baby is going to be loved so much! I drank so much juice in the last couple of weeks..I remember starting everyday at 6:00 am with a big tall glass of juice and then I would have some more:) Enjoy every gulp...it doesn't taste the same after you have the baby!
Yaaaay for full term! I'm rooting for a July 30th b-day---it's the most fun birth date. Let us know if we can do anything for you guys!
